And as someone who plays music on rooftops in Nashville for a living – trust me, I pay a lot of attention to the weather!

The weather warms up (but isn’t suffocating yet), patios reopen, flowers bloom everywhere, and everything just has that new spring feeling! I’ve spent my entire life in Nashville, and I can confidently say — if you’re choosing a season to visit, spring is a top contender.

Here are the best things to do in Nashville in the spring — whether you’re visiting for the first time or you’re local and want to romanticize your life a little (that’s been my personal goal lately, so if that’s you, you’re not alone!).

The Best Things To Do In Nashville in the Spring:

1. See the Blooms at Cheekwood Estate & Gardens

If you do one “spring-specific” activity, make it Cheekwood.

Cheekwood is loved by everyone in Nashville. It’s not just a tourist trap! And to be honest, it’s the perfect spring vibe.

Everywhere you look are fun new flowers blooming – tulips, daffodils, cherry blossoms, and absolutely stunning garden displays. Honestly, to me, it feels like you left Nashville and stepped into Europe for a few hours. And who doesn’t love that?

Why it’s perfect in spring:

• Spring festivals + art installations
• The absolute best photo opportunities
• Relaxed, elevated vibe

2. Picnic at Centennial Park

To be honest, when I hang out at Centennial Park in the Spring I kind of feel like I’m in a movie. Is that weird?? Haha.

The cherry blossoms bloom around the lake, people lay out blankets, and the Parthenon just feels so picturesque when the weather is perfect!

Bring:

• A blanket (Here’s my favorite for outdoors on Amazon)
• Takeout from a local café or restaurant in the area
• A speaker (low volume, we’re classy)
• A book you won’t actually read, but let’s be real, it adds to the aesthetic…amiright?

This is also a great content day if you’re creating Reels or TikToks. Y’all know I love a good content moment. I literally have known so many people who have done photo shoots or music videos at Centennial Park!

3. Rooftop Season Is Back!!!!

Spring = rooftop season. DUH!

Yall know Nashville always comes through with the live music!

And the best part about Spring is there are so many extra opportunities for OUTDOOR music!

Spring means the outdoor markets are popping back open! There’s not much I love more than scoping out all the local vendors and trying new things!

Spring weather is perfect for short drives. And luckily for Nashville, there are so many super cute places just a short drive away!

• Cummins Falls State Park (if you want a little adventure)
• Chattanooga for a weekend
• Waverly Walls Art Park (very short trip, and you can see all kinds of art that people have come and painted!)

Spring can definitely be popular, so I would recommend to book early.

Is Spring the Best Time to Visit Nashville?

In my opinion? Yes.

Summer gets SUPER hot and humid. Like, no joke, Nashville gets a lot hotter than you would think. Fall is beautiful but busier. Winter can be unpredictable. So…Spring is the winner in my head!

Spring feels like Nashville at its happiest:

• Flowers blooming
• Patio season
• Music outside
• Golden (you know I love Golden things lol!) sunsets
• Just enough warmth without being too crazy hot

If you want a mix of energy + aesthetic + good weather — this is it. And who doesn’t want that??
