If you’re visiting Nashville and are curious about what the best shopping malls in Nashville, TN are, don’t worry! I’ve got you covered.
The great thing about the malls in Nashville is that there is such a wide range! We’ve got malls that have designer stores that will cost a lot more to shop in and then we’ve got plenty of outlet malls where you can get some amazing deals any day of the week!
Of course, I am always on the lookout for Women’s clothing, but a lot of these malls have so much more to offer! Even some incredible restaurants to choose from.
In this blog post, I’ll be covering indoor malls only, but I’ll be covering some of the best outdoor malls in another post coming soon! So you’ll definitely know Nashville’s premier shopping destination!
The Best Shopping Malls in Nashville!
1.) The Mall at Green Hills
Let’s kick it off with my personal all-time favorite mall in the Nashville area. There are several reasons why I would say Green Hills Mall is the absolute best mall Nashville has to offer. It’s such a great place.
First of all, if you are close to downtown Nashville, this will probably be the most convenient for you! It’s also very close to Hillsboro Village which has more shopping options as well.
When I was growing up Green Hills Mall was known for having very expensive stores in it. It was a place you went to if you were ready to spend quite a bit of money on the latest trends.
Now, they still have many pricier designer stores but also several options that are a lot more affordable. When they expanded the mall a couple of years ago their variety got a lot more diverse. I love that now they have a little something for everyone with a huge range of stores all under one roof.
You’ll see everything from Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Saint Laurent, and Channel all the way to Kate Spade to Forever 21 and Zara to Michael Kors to Free People. I mean it’s literally everything.
And even better, they have some of my all-time favorite food options from any mall in the Nashville area. There isn’t really a proper food court like so many malls have – but that doesn’t mean they don’t have a ton of dining options.
If you want something quick and easy, you can check out Chopt or Bazooka subs.
If you’ve got time to sit for a little bit then I definitely recommend North Italia or RH Courtyard Restaurant in Restoration Hardware.
I’ve eaten at North Italia countless times. Every time I’m in the area I can’t help but stop by. No matter what I always get the beef carpaccio when I go! It’s a great appetizer to split. If you’re in the food for a portion of pasta try out the Lasagna Bianca al Forno or the Ricotta Cavatelli.

If you’re in the mood for a cocktail, try the Julietta! So Delicious!
If you’re not familiar with Restoration Hardware it’s essentially a furniture store. While you wait to be seated you can walk around and see several rooms set up with pieces to sell.
The unique thing is in the middle of the store there is a beautiful courtyard where you can dine in. It’s a really nice restaurant so if you’re feeling like doing something a little fancier this is a great option. The food is amazing and you’ll definitely be able to get some pretty photos!

The overall shopping experience is amazing at Green Hills.
2.) Opry Mills Mall
Another favorite mall amongst Nashvillians is The Opry Mills Mall. It’s one of the top outlet malls – so you’ll get some extra savings! It’s one of the Simon Media properties.
I used to live not too far from this mall and even worked in a restaurant there waiting table years ago so I’ve frequented this mall for a long time!
Opry Mills has had several new retailers opening up lately as well. It’s an outlet mall so they almost always have several great deals going on in their outlet stores no matter which one you go to! Their Bath & Body Works always has great deals!
Opry Mills is a great typical type of shopping mall – you’ll have plenty of great options. One cool thing about Opry Mills Mall is occasionally they do have live music!
I’m a musician, and I’ve played there a couple of times. When I’ve played it’s been several artists that do an hour or so. I’ve also gone to see bands play at other times! So check their schedule and you may be able to watch a little live music while you’re shopping. They usually put out chairs too so it’s a good place to take a little rest while you’re in the middle of your shopping endeavors.
Another unique thing about Opry Mills Mall is they have a shop where you can do free moonshine tastings! If you head to Smith Creek inside the mall you’ll be able to belly up right to the bar in the middle, lay your ID down, and you’re allowed to try as many mini shots of moonshine as you’d like!
If you’re looking to dine somewhere – they have your typical mall food court – but they have some other fun options as well.
There’s a Dave & Busters if you want to grab food and drinks while playing some games. Bavarian Bierhaus is a really cool German restaurant. Rainforest Cafe is fun especially if you have kids because it literally feels like you’re eating in a rainforest. The Aquarium restaurant is also good if you have kids because you can watch all the fish swim by while you enjoy your meal! They also just opened up a new Cheesecake Factory.
Check out Tory Burch while you’re there!
3.) CoolSprings Galleria
To be honest, I can’t even tell you the last time I went to CoolSprings Mall. It’s a little bit out of the way – so I usually opt for Green Hills or Opry Mills. But it’s a great mall if you don’t mind a little bit of a drive! They’ve got plenty of great stores. Including your staple item department stores. They’ve got several other specialty stores as well.
4.) Rivergate Mall
Okay – I threw Rivergate Mall on the list but to be honest… I don’t recommend going lol. This mall has been on the decline for quite a while. If you take the chance to stroll around you’ll see lots of empty stores.
The only times I’ve gone to this mall in probably the last decade or more has been to go to their Guitar Center. There is a little gift shop as well that did personalized items I ordered a gift or two from. Even then, I prefer to go to the 100 Oaks location (I’ll tell you more about 100 Oaks in my blog post about the best outdoor shopping malls in Nashville) – but if I’m in a pinch the Rivergate location it is.
All in all, unless you have a very specific reason to visit Rivergate Mall I would highly suggest choosing Opry Mills or Green Hills instead!
5.) The Factory at Franklin
The Factory is a very cute little mall. You’ll have to take a little drive outside of Nashville but if you make a whole little day trip out of it, it’s totally worth it!
If you’re a history buff it’s worth looking into the details of the building of this old factory.
I’ve played gigs at The Factory, my high school had prom events at The Factory, and I’ve gone just for fun with friends!
I would say The Factory is not your typical mall. Their shops are going to be more local boutiques. So especially if you’re a tourist you might like to check it out to be able to get some locally made items to take home with you!
There’s always a great time to be at because they do tons of events! Check out their website for all the happenings during your visit.
