Best Places to Visit For Valentine’s Day!
1. Malibu, California –
My all-time favorite Valentine’s Day trip was to Malibu, so it had to be at the top of my list of the best places to visit for Valentine’s Day. I am a sucker for an ocean view and our Airbnb was absolutely everything I could ever want! If you go to Malibu it is far worth it to splurge for a beach house right on the ocean. Our Airbnb (shown in the video below) had multiple sets of French doors that opened up to the gorgeous ocean view. We ended up leaving them open all day and night so we could fall asleep to the sound of the waves crashing right below us. Although we mostly hung out in the Airbnb, the great thing about Malibu is that it’s so close to LA that you can go spend the day in the city if you’re looking for some extra things to do! I seriously dream about this trip all the time and it would make it my top recommendation for any romantic getaway!
Most of my recommendations for Malibu are just to get a great Airbnb and spend time together overlooking beautiful views, but we did love a restaurant there named Duke’s if you want to venture out for some good seafood right on the water!

2. Austin, Texas
Being born and raised in Nashville, Austin definitely has a Nashville vibe to it. It’s weird to me because even though Austin is a huge city it always feels like a little town – but that may just be me lol. One of my favorite things we did when we visited was the Museum of Illusions. The set-ups were so cool and they even had people who work there walking around to take any photos you would like. It’s perfect if you want a good Valentine’s Day post!

3. Sky’s The Limit Treehouse (Cleveland, Georgia)
There’s nothing more romantic than booking a place you don’t even feel the need to leave. Sky’s The Limit Treehouse is a perfect place to go to just have an intimate weekend with the one you love. Hanging out in the jacuzzi, cozying up to the wood fireplace, playing a game of pool, or just hanging out by the fire pit outside while you do a little stargazing…it’s definitely going to be an unforgettable Valentine’s Day for you and the one you love! Telling your other half you booked a treehouse for just the two of you to share for the weekend? You can’t beat that!
If you do decide you want to venture out there are tons of hiking trails and wineries not too far away!
4. New York City, New York
If you’re looking for a fun energetic, yet still romantic getaway, you can’t go wrong with New York City! Ice skating in Central Park, checking out some of the best skyline views, going to an incredible show on Broadway, taking a helicopter ride to get the best view of the city, or having a nice candle-lit dinner with the one you love at one of the city’s Michelin-starred restaurants can make for a Valentine’s Day you’ll never forget. There is something about New York City that screams romance. If you really wanna go all out, this is perfect for you!

Things to check out:
–Summit One Vanderbilt – One of the best views of the city from the midst of a three-story immersive art setup. And there’s a bar!
-Go see a Broadway Musical (top picks for people who aren’t even huge musical fans: Wicked, Hamilton, Lion King)
-Eat at Ama Raw Bar – I just have to put in my oyster suggestion lol. Y’all know I am always on the hunt for oysters when I’m traveling and so far this is my favorite in NYC. They have an oyster happy hour for $1 oysters. My boyfriend and I go every time we are in NYC and yes, every time we both reach the two dozen per person limit they have for their happy hour. The oysters were incredible, all the other food we’ve tried has been incredible, and we’ve always had incredible service. It’s never been busy when we’ve gone too so it makes for a great intimate setting!
5. Savannah, Georgia
Savannah is one of those cities that feels like a small town but is filled with so much to do, which I think makes it a perfect place for couples to travel to during Valentine’s Day. You’ve got plenty of places for shopping, eating great food, and spending time out on the water. If you go to Savannah for Valentine’s Day, I highly recommend taking a boat ride on the Georgia Queen and doing their V-day cruise!

6. Hawaii
Hawaii is truly paradise. I’ve spent the most time in Oahu, but any Hawaiian island you can visit will be well worth it and perfectly romantic. The great thing about the islands is they are SO easy and pretty inexpensive to travel between. It’s very easy to stay on one island and do a day trip to another if you want to do some island hopping.
The beaches are the best I’ve ever seen in the entire world, the sea life is breathtaking, and the food is so so good! From whale watching to sea turtles, to monk seals, to waterfalls, to volcanoes… it is just amazingly breathtaking.

7. Asheville, North Carolina
My parents actually spent their honeymoon in Asheville, North Carolina, and had an incredible time. If you’re looking for a cozier town that still has plenty to do Asheville could be a great option. It’s such a cute little artsy city with so many outdoor adventures to be had. While you’re there make sure to visit the stunning Biltmore Estate, the largest privately-owned home in America.
8. Key West, Florida

If you’re looking to have a relaxing getaway for Valentine’s Day, Key West is an amazing option for you! Key West is known for having some of the best sunset views over the ocean, and you can’t get more romantic than that. The charming atmosphere makes it a great place to have a nice relaxing laid-back Valentine’s Day. And make sure you have a nice little romantic seafood dinner while you’re there!
Things to do:
- Relax on the beautiful beaches
- Take a Sunset Cruise
- Romantic Dinner at Louie’s Backyard or Hot Tin Roof right and sit by the water
- Explore some historical landmarks (Like The Hemingway House or Fort Zachary Taylor Historic Park)
- Watch the sunset at Mallory Square
