1. Learn About the Hauntings of Nashville with a Ghost Tour
Book your ghost tour here:
Nashville has a lot more spooky ghost stories than I ever knew, until I took a ghost tour! If you’re craving a spooky story, Nashville will not let you down. Here’s one tour I did:
Here are some great options for ghost tours in Nashville:

Nashville Haunted Hearse Ghost Tour: Book Here
Nashville Ghost Hunt Music Cityβs Paranormal Investigation Tour: Book Here
They are all so fun if you want to get spooky, but you also typically get to see a lot of parts of Nashville you may have never seen! When my boyfriend and I went (he’s lived in Nashville for 13 years), he was amazed at all the areas we got to see that he had never seen before!
2. Get Scared at a Haunted House!
Nashville has some amazing haunted houses! If you’re in the mood to get a little scared – here are some options to check out!
- Nashville Nightmare β Apparently, they were voted in the top 5 in the USA of most terrifying haunted houses. I’ve been a few times and it has always been fun – yet terrifying lol. Book here.
- Beast House β If you’re feeling really brave, try out the beast house. Apparently, it’s the only haunted house in Nashville built in a real haunted house – well, really it’s a mansion. There is a regular haunted house you can walk through, but there is also a part separate from the haunted house where they do the “Beast Challenge.” If you make it through, you get your money back! I’ve never done it, so don’t blame me if it’s terrible! I’m just passing along the word lol. Book here.
- Millers Thrillers Haunted Woods – Pretty much every year, my friends and I go to Millers Thrillers. They have a haunted woods, but our favorite part is the haunted zombie ride! You get to ride through the woods and shoot little pellets at all of the actors that are “zombies.” They usually have live music as well! It’s a bit of a drive outside of Nashville, but it’s a lot of fun! Book Here.
Here’s little photo op from Millers Thrillers:

These haunted houses are all amazing! If you’re wondering which to pick based on the level of scariness you want, I would say the least scary is Millers Thrillers, Nashville Nightmare is in the middle, and the scariest is Beast House. So hopefully you can find the right one for you!

3. Attend a Halloween Party on Broadway!
If you’re downtown on actual Halloween, a TON of Broadway will be filled with people in costume. But expect crazy crowds!
4. Visit a Nashville Pumpkin Patch!
There’s better in the fall than visiting a pumpkin patch, finding the perfect pumpkin, walking through a corn maze, and coming home to make a jack-o-lantern! Every year I try to go to at least one (oftentimes I go to more than one!). Here are some of my favorites:
- Lucky Ladd Farms β One of the biggest pumpkin patches in Tennessee. They also have an amazing petting zoo!
- Walden Pumpkin Farm β Just outside the city with hayrides, farm animals, and more.
- Honeysuckle Hill Farm β Offers a spooky maze and haunted hayride after dark!

5. Catch a Halloween Movie at The Belcourt Theatre π¬
This historic cinema plays Halloween classics and indie horror films throughout October. Check their seasonal schedule for favorites like Hocus Pocus, The Shining, and Rocky Horror Picture Show screenings (yes, costumes encouraged!).
6. Join a Halloween Bar Crawl or Party Cruise π»
Want a mix of Nashville nightlife and Halloween energy? Look out for:
- Seeking Spirits Haunted Night-Time Pub Crawl in Nashville β Grab some drinks and enjoy a spooky themed night of all of Nashville’s most haunted places!
- Haunted Booze Cruise on the Cumberland River β You can enjoy drinks, DJs, and views of the Nashville skyline as you cruise around!
7. Stay at a Haunted Hotel π
If youβre really brave, spend the night at the Union Station Hotel, which is known for being haunted mainly by a girl named Abigail. The hotel was once a railway station, and it is rumored that she threw herself onto the train tracks to kill herself. You can book here!
Or book a room at The Hermitage Hotel. This hotel is absolutely stunning, and it was one of the stops on my ghost tour I took recently. You can book here!

Final Tips for Visiting Nashville in October:
- Weather: Expect temperatures between 50β75Β°F. I definitely recommend packing layers, especially if you plan on staying out late! It can get chilly sometimes.
- Where to Stay: Most of the activities I listed are in downtown Nashville, so I recommend somewhere close to downtown!
- Packing Must-Haves: Costumes, of course!, comfortable walking shoes, a portable charger, and anything spooky to make sure you get the best photo ops. (Check out my blog post: Ultimate Nashville Packing List & What to Wear in Nashville)
